WHAT CAN MICROCHANNELING WITH PROCELL TREAT?

Microchanneling can treat skin imperfections anywhere on the face and body. Treatments can smooth out imperfections and improve the surface texture of your skin.

PREPARING FOR YOUR MICROCHANNELING TREATMENT

Discontinue the use of vitamin A products and AHA acids 72 hours before your treatment.
If you are prone to cold sores, taking acyclovir or valcyclovir starting one day prior to your microchanneling will reduce the likelihood of a breakout due to your treatment.
The downtime is minimal, but I recommend that you do not have an important event within 7 days of your treatment.
Depending on the results you would like to achieve, I recommend a series of treatments approximately 4-6 weeks apart

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE TREATMENT

Most clients report warmth or minor skin pricks as the treatment is delivered. Many find the treatment relaxing and comfortable.
The procedure is gentle, noninvasive and safe. Generally, there is no need for a topical anesthetic; however, one may be used depending on your skin sensitivity.

POST-PROCEDURE CARE

Expect a mild redness following treatment, typically lasting 60-90 minutes, but can last up to 72 hour depending on your skin sensitivity.
DO NOT apply anything to the skin for at least 2 hours following the treatment.
More aggressive treatments will extend recovery periods.
Continue to avoid vitamin A products and AHA acids for 7 days.
Trans-epidermal water loss can occur and cause dryness and flaking a couple of days post treatment. Applying moisturizer often throughout the day can help avoid this and enhance results.
